Our Professional Certifications

The credentials, training, and industry memberships that qualify us to protect your home and family.

Why Certifications Matter

In Indiana, there’s no state licensing requirement for mold remediation contractors. Anyone can call themselves a mold remediator or water damage specialist. That’s why professional certifications matter—they’re the only way to verify that a contractor has been trained to industry standards.

Improper water damage restoration leads to mold. Improper mold remediation spreads spores throughout your home. Improper radon mitigation doesn’t reduce levels. These aren’t just inconveniences—they’re health and safety risks for your family.

We invest in training and certification because your safety depends on it. Every certification listed below required coursework, examinations, and ongoing education to maintain.

IICRC

Institute of Inspection, Cleaning
and Restoration Certification

Why Certifications Matter

The IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) is the global standard-setting organization for the inspection, cleaning, and restoration industries. IICRC certifications are recognized by insurance companies, real estate professionals, and government agencies as proof of professional competency.

WRT – Water Restoration Technician

  • Psychrometry – The science of drying and humidity control
  • Structural drying – Proper techniques for drying walls, floors, and building materials
  • Documentation – Insurance-ready reporting and moisture mapping

AMRT – Applied Microbial Remediation Technician

  • Mold biology – Understanding how mold grows and spreads
  • Containment – Preventing cross-contamination during remediation

NADCA

National Air Duct Cleaners
Association

NADCA Membership

NADCA (National Air Duct Cleaners Association) is the leading trade association for HVAC inspection, cleaning, and restoration professionals. NADCA membership requires adherence to the ACR Standard—the industry’s most comprehensive standard for HVAC system assessment, cleaning, and restoration.

What NADCA Membership Requires

  • Certified technicians – At least one ASCS-certified technician on staff
  • Proper equipment – Use of source removal equipment, not just brushes and vacuums
  • ACR Standard compliance – Following the Assessment, Cleaning & Restoration of HVAC Systems standard
  • Continuing education – Ongoing training to maintain membership
  • Code of ethics – Commitment to honest, professional service

Why This Matters

Many “duct cleaning” companies advertise low prices but don’t actually clean ducts—they just blow air around. NADCA members use negative air pressure and source removal equipment that actually extracts contaminants from your HVAC system. We follow the standards that the industry’s own association requires.

ASCS

Air Systems Cleaning
Specialist

ASCS Certification

The Air Systems Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) certification is NADCA’s professional credential for HVAC cleaning technicians. It’s the only certification specifically designed for air duct cleaning professionals.

What ASCS Certification Covers

  • HVAC system components – Understanding air handlers, ductwork, and system design
  • Contaminant identification – Recognizing mold, bacteria, dust, and other pollutants
  • Cleaning methods – Contact cleaning, air washing, and mechanical agitation
  • Equipment operation – Proper use of negative air machines, HEPA vacuums, and rotary brushes
  • Safety protocols – Protecting both technicians and homeowners

ASCS certification requires passing a comprehensive examination and completing continuing education every three years. Our technicians maintain current certification to ensure you receive the highest quality service.

Radon Certification

Unlike mold remediation, radon testing and mitigation is regulated in Indiana. The Indiana State Department of Health requires radon professionals to hold certification through either NRPP (National Radon Proficiency Program) or NRSB (National Radon Safety Board).

Our Radon Credentials

  • Indiana State Certified – Registered with the Indiana State Department of Health
  • NRPP Measurement – Certified for professional radon testing
  • NRPP Mitigation – Certified for radon mitigation system installation

What This Means for You

Our radon test results are accepted by real estate agents, lenders, and attorneys for home transactions. Our mitigation systems are designed and installed to EPA and ASTM standards. You can verify our certification directly with the Indiana State Department of Health.
